L&P Global Security

Our Training

L&P Global Security LLC offers training to its security officers through Texas state approved training academies and in-house continuing education classes. We start training officers from the first day of their employment by conducting a Level I Training Course, which is the new employee’s orientation to L&P Global Security and the security industry.

The second phase of training starts with the mandated Level II Training Course of the State of Texas. The Level II Training Course and test is a requirement of all commissioned and non-commissioned security officers, and personal protection officers. This training course must be administered by a licensed Level III or Level IV Training School or Academy and taught by a licensed Level III or Level IV Instructor. Additionally, this training may be administered by a licensed guard company and taught by the qualified manager or the qualified manager’s designee.

The Level III Training Course (minimum 45 hours) and test (including a course on fire) are required for all commissioned security officers and personal protection officers. This training course must be administered by a licensed Level III Training School and taught by a licensed Level III Instructor. The demonstration of firearm proficiency must be completed within 90 days of the application date for commissioning. The commissioned security officers and personal protection officers shall also complete six (6) hours of continuing education annually. This continuing education training course must be administered by a licensed Level III Training School and taught by a licensed Level III Instructor.

The Level IV Training Course (minimum 15 hours) and test are required for all personal protection officers. This training course must be administered by a licensed Level IV Training School and administered by a licensed Level IV Instructor.

In addition to the mandated course for security officer’s licensing and commissions, L&P Global Security offers its own continuing education classes to security officers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professionalism while working with us.
