Hiring of Officers

Our security officers assigned to your communities will be licensed and/or commissioned by the Texas Department of Public Safety. All potential new hires will have an in-depth, pre-employment background investigation conducted to determine each candidate’s character and degree of personal integrity. All applicants will be required to submit to fingerprinting and be cleared by a thorough criminal conviction records search done by the State of Texas and the FBI. All officers selected to work at your communities will be physically fit and presentable.

An operations manager is assigned and will assist in taking interviews for prospective employees. He will also supervise the background and reference checks on new hires. He will then conduct a pre-startup orientation for all L&P Global Security personnel who work in your communities.

Items to be covered will include, but not be limited to the following:

  1. Employment application with company rules and regulations.
  2. Company and client dress code requirements.
  3. OSHA, EEOC, Wage/hour, and Employment Commission rules, guidelines, and laws.
  4. Pay, timekeeping, payroll records, and related information.
  5. Employee benefits.
  6. Discipline and employee rights.
  7. Training and Continuing Education in the Security Industry.

Our Vetting Requirements

L&P Global Security takes all necessary steps to ensure that all individuals serving under the contract are reliable, reputable, and have satisfied all training and experience requirements. We conduct a preliminary background check on all our security officer applicants and other company personnel working for our clients. At a minimum, L&P Global Security employs methods to independently verify and ensure that prospective applicants meet or exceed the minimum state requirements set forth by the State of Texas.
